I was asked by two members of the Phoenix Centre in Watchet to make a video showing what is going on there currently and to relate some of its history. A new simulation game promises to combine the laid-back world of steam trains on the West Somerset Railway with the high-octane world of computers. Unwind behind a steam train on the West Somerset Railway, an ideal day out for all the family in Somerset. Take a ride through the beautiful Somerset countryside in our original steam-hauled trains, and relax among the sights and sounds of an old-style country branch line. The East Somerset Railway runs through the Mendip Hills on a 5-mile round trip.
